Mental Health Parent Workshop
In September, Waukee Community School District (CSD) hosted an event for parents and guardians called SmartDevices SmarterParents. Because of the positive feedback we’ve received from those who attended the event in September, Waukee CSD will host a second workshop on January 30, 2020.
This event will focus on the following topics; anxiety, depression, risk and safety planning, substance abuse, body image, device safety and how to use it in learning, and parenting with love and logic. As a district, we believe these workshops are a positive step in providing parents, teachers, and students with guidance, solutions, and support as we help our students and families navigate our world.
We invite you to join us for this important conversation on Thursday, January 30, from 6-7:30 p.m. (UPDATED TIME) at the Waukee Innovation & Learning Center (Ashworth & SE LA Grant Pkwy).
